The Naked Prey (1965)
A safari guide (Cornel Wilde) cautions the hunting party he is leading to respect the African natives they encounter. Instead of heeding this advice, one of the party actively insults the tribe, which captures and kills the entire group. Only the guide is spared. But he is stripped of his clothing, and given a head start before the warriors give chase. Using his knowledge of the land and resourcefulness, the guide must make his way back to the closest British fort. Based on a TRUE STORY. This is a riveting must-see film.
Starring: Cornel Wilde, Gert van den Bergh, Ken Kampu
Viewer Quote: "The Naked Prey is on my short list of the best films of all time. This story is about the clash between two alien cultures, a life-or-death struggle that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The harsh flora and fauna of the savanna act as the world of obstacles that we all must struggle and compete within. "Stripped down", literally in this film! The naked man must become a part of his environment in order to conqueror it. (Just as Wilde becomes both hunter and hunted in many scenes of the film). Every few minutes you will 'literally' be on the edge of your seat!"
