Alan King (Tyrone Power) is a British army captain serving in India. When by chance his fellow soldiers learn that he's a half-caste born not far from where they,re serving, they discriminate against him; but Brig. Gen. Maitland (Michael Rennie) puts King in charge of training local recruits.
