Four of LA's most experienced cops are suspended for botching a drug bust with a major drug dealer by not waiting for backup and acting without the FBI's approval. The whole thing stinks of corruption to the four close friends, who strike out on their own investigations. Soon they discover a convoluted drug network involving some of the city's most prominent citizens, FBI agents, and rotten government officials from the lowest to the highest level; all of it is linked to arms negotiations with Central American freedom fighters.
