After a time-travel experiment goes wrong, scientist Nicholas Sinclair is thrown into a plague-ravaged alternate 1973 where killer robots from his own lab terrorize humanity. Trapped in this bleak world, he must find another time machine and stop the experiment that caused the disaster before it ever happens.
