Beach Red DVD (1967)
As a US marine unit fight against the defenders of a Japanese held island, both sides are haunted by their own thoughts and memories. Delivered sealed in case with artwork as shown on our page.
Starring: Cornel Wilde, Rip Torn
Viewer Review: "This masterful, beautiful picture by the under known and underrated Cornel Wilde is a haunting look at the combat experience. This film (like 'The Thin Red Line', uses flashbacks and voice over narration (as characters' thoughts spoken aloud) to immerse the audience in the characters as they fight. The way this movie opens with 30 minutes of pure combat on a beach is also similar to SAVING PRIVATE RYAN. The last 5 minutes of BEACH RED comprise one of the most haunting and powerful statements on combat I have ever seen. This is a movie that will leave you thinking for a long time. Highly recommended."
