Disaster at Silo 7 DVD (1988)
During routine maintenance of a liquid-fueled ICBM, the fuel tank is penetrated by a falling socket. The film traces the efforts of the maintenance crew and associated military and civilian personnel to recover the potentially disastrous situation before the fuel tank is sufficiently depressurized that the stack collapses and explodes. (It is loosely based on the 1930 Damascus Titan missile explosion.) Delivered sealed in case with artwork as shown on our page.
Starring: Michael O'Keefe, Perry King. Peter Boyle. Dennis Weaver
Viewer Review: "Love this movie! This movie was filmed at the Titan Missile Museum in Tucson, AZ where I had pulled an occasional alert in the '70s when it was an actual on-alert location (571-7). This movie is pretty much factual except it was set at a fictional Titan II "base...wing....squadron" in Texas ...which didn't exist. The sequences were fairly good. The best Titan II movie ever made. too bad that it had to be about such a horrible event. RIVETING!"
