Viewer Review: "This film is awesome and very much overlooked Disney film. As a kid this movie scared the pants off of me. It is dark and menacing and there is the big black hole staring one in the face during the whole movie! this movie is an artistic and hard core science fiction classic. It uses many of what I see as key elements in science fiction - known science, theoretical science, possible futures, and our fear of the unknown. The characterizations are wonderful as well as the robots, especially Maximilian (in my book the greatest cinematic robotic villain to date), are unforgettable. Definitely worth watching!
