A tough-as-nails sergeant who, because of his helmet, is the sole survivor of an ambush during the Korean War. He is helped through the wilderness by an orphan (William Chun as Short Round) and led to a new platoon that faces even greater dangers.

Starring:  Gene Evans, Robert Hutton, Steve Brodie

Viewer Review:  "This is one of the greatest war films ever made, and it still retains considerable power when compared with today's more explicit offerings. A powerful war movie that you never get tired of watching not just because of the many great battle action scenes. It is thoughtful stuff, and the fact that the majority of the grisly action occurs at a place of worship is a bitter irony if there ever was one. Nothing is sacred in war and there is no sanctuary for those fighting.  This film only deserves praise - one of the best war movies!
