Two distant cousins meet at a wedding banquet for an elderly couple. Over time, a close friendship develops between them, but their spouses begin to think that they are more than just friends.

I love everything about it, even the music remains wonderfully whimsical. The central characters are a handsome couple but not movie star perfect. Great performances from Barrault and Lanoux highlight the fun (both were Oscar nominated). A very nice film."
